In 2012 Azerbaijan is in the spotlight. Besides running the Eurovision Song Contest in Baku, the country is also the Organiser of this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.

INEA in planning to organise an international Conference on “Building bridges” in cooperation with the ACSDA (Association for Civil Society and Development in Azerbaijan). Several panel sessions will guarantee a forum for exchange of leading heads from politics, business and sports all across Europe, stimulating new perspectives of future cooperation.
The Conference will take place in the ancient City Qabala (Qəbələ).

The Görling Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH and the Institute for European Affairs were able to organize a lecture evening with newly-elected President of EUROJUST Aled Williams. Mr. Williams will give a speech on goals and methods of this important European institution which is seated in Den Haag on 05 July 2010 at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Frankfurt (Main). This will be President Williams’ first visit to Germany after his assumption of office. The topic of his lecture is “The Eurojust – Goals and Working Structures”.
In cooperation with the professorship of criminal law, law of criminal procedure, philosophy of law and sociology of law at the Ludwig-Maximilian-University of Munich, managed by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c.mult. Bernd Schünemann, the Görling Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft awards the Atrium-Price for outstanding dissertations dealing with “Combat on Business Crime” for the first time. () |

This year’s INEA-Forum was held on 04 June 2010 at the subsidiary of the Telekom AG in Berlin. The President of the European Court of Justice, Prof. Dr. Vassilios Skouris, gave a speech on “The Treaty of Lisbon and the European Court of Justice”. During the successional discussion presented by Dr. Ulrich Battis (Humboldt University Berlin) the guests were able to pose questions and express remarks. Among others many representatives of various embassies participated in the forum. Prior to the INEA-Forum a meeting of the INEA Management was held at the subsidiary of the Telekom AG in Berlin in the afternoon. Among others President of the German Bundestag Prof. Dr. Lammert, Federal Commissioner for documents of the state security service of the former German Democratic Republic Ms. Marianne Birthler, as well as President of the Federal Information Service and State Secretary retd. Dr. August Hanning participated in the meeting. The Management meeting was followed by a dinner which was organized by Matthias Platzeck, Minister-President of Brandenburg. | Annual Meeting of Resita Network in Kladovo/Serbia The third summer academy of Resita Network was carried out in Kladovo/Serbia on 29 and 30 May 2010, organised by the University Belgrade, Technical Faculty Bor. Kladovo is a cosy, beautiful small town in the East of Serbia situated by the Danube River, which is the border to Romania in this region. The partners within the Resita Network Entrepreneurship and Innovation are lecturers/professors of the Universities of Tirana/Albania, Zenica/Bosnia & Hercegovina, Rousse/Bulgaria, Osijec/Croatia, Skopje/Macedonia, Podgorica/Montenegro, Bukarest, Resita and Timisoara/Romania, Belgrade (Technical Faculty Bor)/Serbia, Ljubljana/Slovenia, Salzburg/Austria, and from Worms and Trier/Germany. In Kladovo the partners discussed about the activities in 2010 and the tuture activities and further development in 2011.
